Impressing A Potential Buyer In 10 Steps

Selling a home may seem like a burden to some and maybe even Greek to others but it doesn’t have to be that way. So to help reduce the stress of selling a home we’ve compiled ten steps that will make the process a whole lot easier.

  1. Green Lawn/Luscious Garden – Often overlooked but a very vital part of what a buyer looks when when home shopping. How green is the lawn? How much work do I have to put in to make it look good? These are questions potential buyers ask when they first step out of there car to take a look at your property, so why not give them something to go WOW about.
  2. Kitchen Fit For A Chef – We spend quite the amount of time in this area so why not make it stand out. That potential buyer is thinking of all the great ways they can entertain and feel relaxed in there new kitchen, so why not appeal to there desire? From the appliances to the cupboards, show that buyer that you were thinking especially about them.
  3. Added Bonus – We all like to be pampered and spoiled and guess what so does that potential buyer. Throw in a freebie. Simple things like a built in piece or even something free standing that looks built in attracts buyers to lean towards buying your home.
  4. Hardwood Is Love – Buyers love hardwood floors. Why? Well the answer is simple. They last long and they look great. And if your worried about the cost.. there are many alternatives from Pergo to laminate.
  5. Closets and Organization – Be sure to highlight how organized and spacious your closet is and then just sit back and watch how amazed that potential buyer will be. In today’s world it’s all about maximizing space and making it look attractive. Take the organization party from the bedroom closets to the coat/linen closet and keep it going to the pantry. You won’t be disappointed following this path.
  6. A Beautiful Bathroom – Break out of the norm and make your bathroom different. Try different lighting styles instead of the normal globe lights. As for that huge mirror that you can also go sledding with replace it as well. Not only will your bathroom be different your potential buyer will be very impressed.
  7. Entrance Ways That Amaze – Add a fresh coat of paint to the front door, replace the broken door bell but it doesn’t stop here. Arrange the furniture in a attractive welcoming manner that will allow your buyer to visualize how there furniture would look and if there is space add a small table or a plant that just makes anyone who steps inside feel as if there at home.
  8. Ooh Those Fixtures Look Nice – If there is anything that stands out more to a potential buyer are the fixtures in a house.  Simply replacing door handles, drawer pulls/knobs you can instantly breathe new life into your bathroom or kitchen, simple changes that won’t go unnoticed.
  9. Countertops, Countertops, Countertops – Run away from the conventional tile and laminate countertops and embrace something nice and attractive like Granite. A word to the wise, shiny countertops can discourage a potential buyer as in some cases it comes off as being cold.
  10. Lighting For The Finale – Depending on the time of day, location of property or room lighting can make or break the deal for a potential buyer. Go for a clean, modern look that not only shows how great your property is but also how inviting it is as a home.

Even if just a few of these tips are used you will notice a greater interest in your property and maybe even on the fast track to being sold in record time.
